SPECTATOR PROGRAM

Respect the local customs. People in Saudi Arabia are friendly and hospitable. Modest clothing and polite behavior are appreciated. No alcohol. If you're unsure, feel free to ask our team — we’re happy to guide you.

Each day varies, but expect long days — about 10–12 hours. We follow the Dakar Rally drivers, so we also cover long distances (up to 400–500 km in a day).

You’ll sleep in a single-person tent with a mattress, sleeping bag, and pillow. You’ll set it up yourself (it's easy), but our team is there to help if needed. Rally parks are active at daytime and at night — expect noise, movement, and real Dakar atmosphere all around you!

The bivouac is the Dakar Rally basecamp — a secured area for teams, mechanics, media, and staff. Every night, 2,500–3,000 people gather here to rest, repair, and get ready for the next stage. You have a unique change to see this action and meet the people.

You’ll travel in a comfortable minibus (max 8 people) with a driver. Drinking water is provided daily.

You’ll have full 24/7 support from our experienced team to ensure your trip runs smoothly and safely.

Before the trip, we’ll give you clear safety instructions. During the rally, always follow your guide’s directions — especially at the spectator zones.

A detailed packing list will be sent by email. In short:

• Day: 15–25°C, Night: can drop to 5°C
• Bring layers and comfortable clothes
• Always carry your passport and visa with you

The Dakar Rally is the world’s toughest motorsport event — and conditions in the desert can be unpredictable. Route or schedule changes may happen due to weather or other safety reasons. Our team is prepared to adjust and make sure your experience continues smoothly. Some things are beyond our control — flexibility is key.

Yes, travel insurance is mandatory for participation.

Yes. You must apply for a Saudi eVisa before the trip. Full instructions and the application link are available at: https://visa.visitsaudi.com/. Once obtained, please send a copy to us.

So far, we know that Dakar Rally 2026 starts and ends in Yanbu, Saudi Arabia from the 3rd to 17th of January, 2026. Due to security protocols, the detailed route will be announced in November 2025. We'll share the full program and travel plans with you as soon as it’s available.
